I am so excited I got a great deal today! I stopped by Michaels on my way home from work this afternoon, because I had to get a purple ceramic pen for a piggy bank that I am decorating for my new neice and I found the best deal in the clearance section. I got 2 packages of 120 sheet Martha Stewart cardstock, basic colors, pink, green, green, brown, beige, for $4 each! Can you believe it! $4!! I was so excited I took pictures...

Have a "hoot"...
Tonight my hubby came home and asked me if there was anyway that I could "whip" up a retirement card for him for tomorrow. Of course, I said yes! With my new scraproom it is so much easier to get everything together and know where things are. I feel so much more creative too! It's awesome! I adapted one of Kristie Larsen's card that she did for 365 Cards blog, day 333. Both of these are great blogs that you should definetly check out! Here's my version:

Mojo Monday Sketch
I am doing the Mojo Monday Sketch again this week. I absolutely love these sketches! Here is this weeks sketch...
Here is my version...I chose...
SQUARE with a little bit of ROUND!
This is a birthday card for my brother...his b-day isn't til May, but I've been thinking about him a lot, because he's got a lot going on in his life right now, so I thought that I would spend some time and make him a real nice card.
The circle, although you can't tell in my amateur picture, is raised up. I finally found a product that I absolutely love that actually stays raised even when you press on it with all your weight, 3M Pop-Up Foam Squares, love them! Almost this entire card was done in scraps. I try to do that with all my cards, because my whole sheets I like to save for layouts, even though I haven't done ANY lately...well 2 the other day, but that's all. I am really in to card making lately.

A Few Challenges
Here are a couple of LO's that I did in my new room. I did the first card for Mojo Monday's Week 122 Challenge:
They have great challenges, check them out here, Mojo Monday Sketch Blog.
The second project I did was a LO, haven't done one in ages. It is based on the sketch by, Trisha aka txpaperdoll (sorry, I can't find the original post) but, you can find her blog here, TX Paper Doll.
This is my dad and my son. They are reading "The Polar Express" for all of Christmas in 2008 my son was obsessed with the book and the movie.
Enjoy!

My brother and my daughter. He came over to help my hubby put up the drywall...it's HEAVY!
My hubby, brother, and daughter...she had to be in all the pictures!
And the FINAL product...!!!
So that's it...hope that you like it! I LOVE IT!!

1st Card...
in my new room!!
I made this for our neighbor, becaues he was nice enough to come over and shovel our sidewalk and drive way last week...
It also says "Thanks" on the inside. I used my Paper Dolls for Everyday Cricut Cartridge, Die Cuts with a View Holiday Stack for the two background papers, Bazill Basics cardstock, and I ran the green paper through my Cuttlebug to give it an embossed feel.

Roughed In...
Well, the countertops are in and the place is clean. My husband wanted to make sure that I put in here that this is NOT done. He is going to put up the drywall tomorrow, so it won't just be bare walls. But, I don't care. I think that it looks great and I am so excited that I have SOOO much room!
I am debating what color still to put in the room. I am going back and forth between a bluish color and a greenish color. I will post them and everyone can vote when I am between two.
Thanks for looking!!

Updated Pictures on Craft Room
Well, I have a few more pics from my room. My hubby has the frame almost done and my brother is coming over tonight to add an outlet to the wall. Then they just need to drywall, mud, and tape. I can see it all coming together!
Update on Scraproom
So, I don't have any updated pictures yet, but there is one side of the countertop up and the other one is set to, probably, go up today. My hubby will probably be working on it the whole weekend, plus we have Monday off for Martin Luther King Day (P.S. that's my birthday...what a great birthday present, huh?) We decided to drywall, so that might take a little longer. I am trying to also decide on paint colors...any ideas anyone?? How about great storage ideas...I am planning on trying to get organized and I will be using my trusty labeler today!! I will try and post some new pictures this afternoon. At work now, but can't wait to get home!

My Uneventful Weekend...
Yesterday morning was a seemingly uneventful morning, for about 2 minutes! At 7:30 I decided to get up, well, my daughter decided that I was going to get up. She had climbed in bed with me at 6:30 when my husband and my son got up (this happens almost every weekend morning, because my son gets up very early and my husband can't really sleep in anymore...I have no problem with that).
I walked out into the living room, glanced at the backdoor, which was open, and caught a glimpse of my husband walking pieces of drywall and paneling up from the basement out to the garbage outside. Do you know what my WONDERFUL husband was doing?? He decided that my craft room needed a makeover!
He took down walls and cut out a hole so that I could see the kids while I was working...he is going to put up a huge countertop so that I will have a ton of space. It will be an "L" shaped countertop, with one side being about 8 feet and the other side being about 6 feet. I am so excited. It should be done this weekend. I will post pictures as we go...I have demolition pictures that I will post tonight.

What To Do...What To Do...
with all this time that I have today. My hubby took the kids and went up to his parents and to an extended family Christmas today. I didn't go because I had to work this morning and then they would have had to wait for me to get out of work. Nevertheless, now I have all this time today, after work, to do whatever I want. What I really want to do it scrap...but, what I should be doing is cleaning. What a dilemma. What I will probably do it clean a little and scrap a little, clean a little and scrap a little. I really do have a reason to scrap. My brothers girlfriends baby shower, that we are throwing for her, is February 13th and I am making the invites...that need to go out like the end of next week!! Ah!! Anyway, I really need to start those, so that we can send them. So, I have a reason. Anyway, hopefully I will post some new stuff today! And get some cleaning done.
