Pretty in Pink

Good Morning! Hope that everyone had a great New Years Even and it starting the day out not too hungover! Anyway, here is the last of the layouts that I made for my mom. This one is for her to put my daughters pictures in. She is definitely a princess, so this suits her. If you would like to see the one that I made for my neice you can go here Big Girl, or the one for my son you can go here Here Comes Trouble. Enjoy!

Big Girl Layout

This is a layout that I made for my mom for Christmas. Two years ago I had made her a Scrapbook with about 20 pages already done in it that she could just add to...however, she has never added to it. So, I decided that I would make her another 3 pages so that she would have one for each of the current grandkids and all she would have to do it add the pictures.

I hope that you enjoy and everyone has a Happy New Year. I know that I will. My little girl is due to arrive on the 3rd, so I will probably MIA for a while. Wanted to get a few layouts posted before then that I have been waiting on.

Happy New Year!

Sweet Shop Blog Hop - Day 2

If you missed my post from yesterday with all the Hop Info go HERE...and if you want to start at the beginning of the hop from yesterday go HERE (there are lots of great projects and goodies).

Welcome to the 2nd day of the Sweet Shop Blog Hop!!

You should have just come from Michelle at Purple Monkey Moments and if so you are in the right place. If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our fun hop, you can go to CookingWithCricut.com and start at the beginning HERE.

So, here is the project that I made for today. I used my YourStory Photo for this project.

The first thing that I did was cut a Cheerios box up into 5 - 5x7 pieces of cardstock using my Fiskars trimmer. It worked much better to cut them then I thought.

The next things that I did was cover each of the 5 pieces with Valentine's paper, front and back.

Next, I cut out a square at 4.25 x 4.25" from the Plantin cartridge and made it into a little pocket that I adhered to each of the pages on the right side. I then cut out tags at 2.78 x 4" for each of the pockets using the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge and hole punched them and tied a ribbon on them.

After I had the pockets and tags assembled I cut out a few of the images from the Sweethearts cartridge in black to accent the pages.

On each of the tags I plan on writing a little note to my husband for Valentine's Day (sorry folks, you don't get to see those).

On the left side of the booklet I am planning on putting some pictures of the two of us along with some pictures that my kids have drawn.

The cover I also made using the Sweethearts cartridge (Couple Standing @ 1.87 x 4", the Perfect Pair @ 3 x 3.39"), my NEW i-Rock to add some bling and my cuttlebug and hearts folder.

Hope that you enjoyed my project, now head over to Raven's blog, Love 4 Stamps, and see what she has in store for you! Remember before you go to leave a comment on my blog to win the fabulous prize that I am giving away tomorrow (comment on yesterday's post for an extra chance to win).

Mix It Up

If you hopped with me on Saturday then you saw my "Spring Fever" layout. If not, then you can go HERE to see it. Well, with all the bright pinky colors I thought that it would go perfectly in my daughter's scrapbook. However, I wanted to make sure that I had a similar one for my son's scrapbook also. So, I made the same layout, just switched it up a little bit. Hope you enjoy it!

Beep Boop Beep Bop

So, on Saturday my son had his first big birthday party for his best friend at school. It was at a Bounce House place here in Michigan, so much fun!! A lot of his little buddies from school were going to be there and he was super excited!

When I asked his best friend what he wanted for his birthday he said that he wanted a Star Wars Lego set. So, since that is exactly what we got him I decided that I just had to make him a Star Wars card. Well, of course we all know that there is no Star Wars cartridge out....yet!?! So, I went to work and put together shapes and details from a couple of different cartridges. Here is how it turned out...

What do you think? Do you like it?

Well, if you said yes, than you're in luck, because I have the Gypsy cut file for you right...HERE. You need the Plantin Schoolbook and the Cricut Classic Font cartridges...if you don't have them then you can substitute for another cartridge with basic shapes, like George or Accent Essentials. Go on ahead and download it and see how you like it. Also, if there is anything else that you might want to see then please leave a comment or if you think that there is something that could have been done better or differently please let me know. I hope that you enjoy and if you create it I would love to see your version!

Princess Adorable

Good Morning! Today's challenge for Cooking with Cricut DT was to make a project with at least 3 flowers on it. Always, fun!

I picked out the patterned paper from the DCWV Premium Stack (if you haven't been following my blog for the last week or two, I am in love with this stack). The solid black is Recollections, the sparkly white is also DCWV, and the sparkly red is Bazzill.

The flowers were cute from the Cindy Loo cartridge, at 3.5" and 2.45".

The princess title is from the New Playtime cartridge at 3.5" (I think). I didn't get a knew expressions from Walmart, but I was lucky enough to win both the Playtime and Cricut Classic Font off Ebay. They were used, so no one was really bidding on them, but they were from a respectable seller and weren't linked to a Gypsy and I won them for $50 for the set!! Anyway, I got them and they were in perfect condition and I love them.

The tag was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge. I am not sure of the exact measurements, because I had to finagle it so that it would all fit, so it is not exactly how it originally was, it ended up odd measurements. The jewels are from the Joann's $1 Bin (Love this).

Lastly, I just had to show you all this photo. The photo on the layout is my daughter when she was around 9 months and then this is her yesterday. She was so excited that this was a picture of her when she was little that she wanted to take a picture with it. So cute!

Now, if you haven't been there yet hop on over to Cooking with Cricut and take a look at the other Design Team members creations and play along on this challenge with us!

Also, remember that I drew the winner of the My Valentine Blog Hop and you can see if you won HERE! I haven't heard from the winner yet!
