Living MY LIFE!

The other night I was sitting in my Scraproom, the one that my hubby worked so hard on, and didn't want to be there. It's  not that I didn't want to be there, I was just at a point where I didn't know what I wanted to do. I have several birthday's and holiday's coming up that I needed to make cards for, but I wasn't sure which ones I wanted to work on first or what I wanted to make for them. I've had all these ideas lately, but for some reason didn't want to do any of them.

Don't get me wrong, I love making cards. It's the easiest way to share my creativity and my love of creating with others, but once my cards are done and sent on their way I never see them again. And although it sounds weird, I miss them. I miss being able to go back and see my creations again and again if I want to.

I haven't done any layouts lately and I have SO many pictures that I really want to immortalize. I have two new nieces, my oldest is starting kindergarden in the fall and my youngest is starting preschool. There are so many memories that I really want to make sure that I get scrapped.

For the longest time I was at a creative block when it came to creating layouts and that is why I started creating cards. They could be much simpler; simpler layout, simpler message and they definetly did help me to practice some new techniques, but I think that it is time that I get back to basics...layouts.

It's time that I start to go back to what makes me the happiest and that's scrapbooking memories. I need to be able to write down all the great things that my kids and my family are doing right now and in the future. So, that I can always remember how lucky I am to be living MY LIFE!

Happy NSD!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

I am unfortunately going to be at work today from around 9 till after 2....but, hopefully after that I will be able to post a few things. We are also going over to my parents around 4 to celebrate my sister-in-laws birthday that was the 19th. But, I will definetly be scrapping after that...until I drop. Still getting over a sinus infection so I might drop pretty early.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

TRYING A NEW FORMAT...BEAR WITH ME :)

Good Monday Morning to Everyone! I am staying home today, when normally I would be at work, because unfortunately my mommy is sick :(. So, I might get to do some more scrapping done today, yeah! Along with the laundry of course! Today is also my Grandma's birthday...Happy Birthday Grandma!! Hope that you have a great day...we are so lucky to have you in our lives!

Anyway, this a card that I made for her. We had dinner for her yesterday at my parents house. Fried Chicken and Potatoes, yum! Well, enough rambling. I think that it turned out real nice. Hope that you enjoy it.

Ingredients:

Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge
Bazzill Basics for Cardstock
DCWV Citrus Patterned Paper
$1 Ribbon from Michael's

I also used my new Cricut Marker for the inside of the card, I just didn't take any pics. I am really liking these. Expect to see me use them much more, they are so versatile.

Have a great day everyone!! Happy scrapping!

Happy 1st Birthday Avery! and Some Cards

This weekend was my neice's 1st Birthday Party. Her bedding and accessories are ladybug's so I thought that the Ladybug from Create a Critter would look so cute as a card for her. I didn't just cut it out though, I used my Gypsy to weld it together and made a shaped card out of it. It turned out so good...she didn't want anyone to take it away from her.

I also made a card for my mother-in-law to give her. She is really starting to get into Dora so I created a Dora card from Everyday Paper Dolls. I also used the Create a Critter cart to make a monkey, somewhat like Boots the Monkey. It doesn't look exactly like Boots, but it was my versions...my daughter knew who it was and she LOVES Dora, so I did my job.

Thank for looking! Hope you enjoy!

So Glad You're Home!

Recently, my grandmother had to have knee surgery and from a fall afterwards ankle surgery. Afterwards she has to go to a nursing home to recover, since she had to have constant physical therapy.

Well, she got to come home on Friday and we all couldn't have been happier, especially her. As we all know it's always so good to be home. I wanted her to feel extra excited that she was home and to know that we were thinking about her, so I made her a "Welcome Home" banner and a card. The pictures are below.

Welcome Home Grandma! We are so glad that you are home and healing!
