Carrie please contact me at croppinmommadesigns at wowway dot com to claim your prize by Monday, January 31st at 12:00 pm EST, so that I can get your prize out ASAP. Thanks!

With that out of the way I am so sorry that I haven't had any new projects this week. I have had two sick kiddos and with the weather her being so cold and yucky it is really hard to make myself get up and do anything. So, anything that has gotten done is the bare minimum for the house. So, please be patient and I promise that I will have new stuff posted soon!

Projects to Come and Blog Hop Winner Update

So, I know that I've been gone the whole week, but I promise that it is for a good reason!

My 30th birthday was on Monday and my hubby and parents threw me a party on Saturday and then we went out with friends, on Monday my mom and grandma took me out to lunch and my hubby took me out to dinner, and then on Friday we went to see Harry Potter before it's not in the theaters anymore. So, in between all of that I have been trying to catch up on laundry and cleaning the house along with all my regular daily duties like taking the kids to and from school.

I am determined to get back in my scraproom today. I have started a couple of things throughout the week that I just need to get finished and pictures taken of. Also, I have a few other things on my list of To-Dos. So, I promise I will have things posted all next week for your looking enjoyment!

Thanks for sticking with me!

Also, on another note. I still have not heard from The Winner of the Be My Valentine Blog Hop. I am going to try and contact her today, but if I don't hear from her by tomorrow (Sunday) at midnight, then I am going to pick another winner. If you haven't checked to see if you won, please go HERE.

Princess Adorable

Good Morning! Today's challenge for Cooking with Cricut DT was to make a project with at least 3 flowers on it. Always, fun!

I picked out the patterned paper from the DCWV Premium Stack (if you haven't been following my blog for the last week or two, I am in love with this stack). The solid black is Recollections, the sparkly white is also DCWV, and the sparkly red is Bazzill.

The flowers were cute from the Cindy Loo cartridge, at 3.5" and 2.45".

The princess title is from the New Playtime cartridge at 3.5" (I think). I didn't get a knew expressions from Walmart, but I was lucky enough to win both the Playtime and Cricut Classic Font off Ebay. They were used, so no one was really bidding on them, but they were from a respectable seller and weren't linked to a Gypsy and I won them for $50 for the set!! Anyway, I got them and they were in perfect condition and I love them.

The tag was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge. I am not sure of the exact measurements, because I had to finagle it so that it would all fit, so it is not exactly how it originally was, it ended up odd measurements. The jewels are from the Joann's $1 Bin (Love this).

Lastly, I just had to show you all this photo. The photo on the layout is my daughter when she was around 9 months and then this is her yesterday. She was so excited that this was a picture of her when she was little that she wanted to take a picture with it. So cute!

Now, if you haven't been there yet hop on over to Cooking with Cricut and take a look at the other Design Team members creations and play along on this challenge with us!

Also, remember that I drew the winner of the My Valentine Blog Hop and you can see if you won HERE! I haven't heard from the winner yet!

I Hate Scraps...

Happy 1/11/11!! I just think this is neat!

At least patterned ones. I always end up putting them in my scrap bin for later and rarely use them. They just pile up and I never remember what I have or what I might need. I'm sure that if I had a better system for them I might use them more, but I don't and I kind of like my system. So, I've decided that I will just try and use all the patterned paper at the time and not have to put any into my scraps bin.

So, that being said, this card is a little sneak peek at my Cooking with Cricut project for tomorrow. I used all the scraps from my project on this card.

All the patterned paper is from DCWV's "The ULTIMATE Premium Stack". It is awesome. I picked it up from Joann's for $11.99 and when I got it home I just fell in love. It is the one that is seperated by tabs into different categories. For example, these papers are from the "Winter" tab, but there are Christmas, Spring, Summer, Fall, Textures, etc. tabs. They are great. The best thing about it is that the papers in each tab go together perfectly. The buttons I'm not sure where I got, I've had them for a while. The sentiment, "Warmest Winter Wishes" is a My Pink Stamper stamp...love these!! The tag is from Once Upon a Princess (I think, sorry). I promise I will try and get better at making sure I know where things came from. Sometimes though I am just in the zone...I'm sure some of you can relate.

Well, this post has gotten extremely long and if any of you are like me, you have lost interested after the 1st sentence, so if you have gotten this far...I appreciate it! Make sure that you check in tomorrow for my Cooking with Cricut project!

It's Coming...

Join me here on January 8th for the Be My Valentine Blog Hop. There are a ton of talented ladies on this hop and it is going to be so much fun!!

** THIS IS A STICKY POST...PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR TODAY'S MOST CURRENT POST

Rock On!

This year one of my resolutions is to make a card for all of our immediate family members and some close friends and send them. The first birthday is actually my father-in-law's.  He is young at heart and has always been very into music, so when I saw the Fox on the new Birthday Bash cartridge I knew it was perfect!

It is a pretty simple card, but I think it turned out great!

The next one is my husbands, but I won't post that one, since he reads my posts (I will after his birthday).

An Announcement

And now, I can finally announce...
Are
You
Ready??
Here
It
Is...
I have been chosen to be a part of the Cooking with Cricut Design Team!! I am so excited. This is such a group of talented ladies and Melinda is so, so, so talented! Her Digital Stamps are amazing and I can't wait to use them along with my Cricut.
For our first project we had to make something with a Snow theme. The first real snow that we had here in Michigan my kids, as you may assume, had to go outside and play. To my surprise they actually stayed out there quite a while and even made a snowman all by themselves. So, I made this layout for the pictures that I took of them and their snowman...

 Recipe:
Jolly Holidays Cricut Cartridge
Bazzill Basics Cardstock
DCWV Patterned Paper
Snowflake Jewels (from Joann's $1 bin, LOVE THIS!)
Glitter Glue (Also from Joann's $1 bin)
So, please on over to Cooking with Cricut and check out all the talented ladies and all of there projects as well as the GREAT cutting files.

Organization Challenge

So if you read my previous post I decided to join the Organizational Challenge over at Scrappily Ever After. If you missed my post, either go HERE to check it out, or go straight to Scrappily Organizational Boot Camp. The 1st and 2nd goals are already posted, but you can jump right on in!

The 1st Challenge was just to post our messes rooms. So, VERY BRAVELY I am posting mine. The drywall and everything needs to be finished, but we've had a lot going on, so that might not be done till summer. The space still works for me, but it's a mess!

Hope that you join me!!

Goals for 2011

Since I will have more time to do what I love, since I won't be working outside the home, and hopefully I will be able to get everything under control and be less stressed, I wanted to actually post my creative goals for the New Year so that I can look back on them throughout the year and remind myself of the direction that I wanted to go for 2011. I might even add to it as the year goes on.

1. Start and Finish one scrapbook layout a week.

2. Make a homemade card for everyone in the family for their birthdays (and send them).

3. Make a Design Team.

4. Catch up Leah's scrapbook through her 3nd year.

5. Catch up Hayden's scrapbook though his 4th year.

6. Make a Heritage Scrapbook for my Mother-In-Law.

7. Use all of my cartridges at least once.

8. Publish posts at least every third day.

9. Organize my Scraproom

10.

Hope that everyone had a fabulous New Year and here is to an even more FABULOUS 2011!!
