Happy Birthday Grandma!

TRYING A NEW FORMAT...BEAR WITH ME :)

Good Monday Morning to Everyone! I am staying home today, when normally I would be at work, because unfortunately my mommy is sick :(. So, I might get to do some more scrapping done today, yeah! Along with the laundry of course! Today is also my Grandma's birthday...Happy Birthday Grandma!! Hope that you have a great day...we are so lucky to have you in our lives!

Anyway, this a card that I made for her. We had dinner for her yesterday at my parents house. Fried Chicken and Potatoes, yum! Well, enough rambling. I think that it turned out real nice. Hope that you enjoy it.

Ingredients:

Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge
Bazzill Basics for Cardstock
DCWV Citrus Patterned Paper
$1 Ribbon from Michael's

I also used my new Cricut Marker for the inside of the card, I just didn't take any pics. I am really liking these. Expect to see me use them much more, they are so versatile.

Have a great day everyone!! Happy scrapping!

Happy 1st Birthday Avery! and Some Cards

This weekend was my neice's 1st Birthday Party. Her bedding and accessories are ladybug's so I thought that the Ladybug from Create a Critter would look so cute as a card for her. I didn't just cut it out though, I used my Gypsy to weld it together and made a shaped card out of it. It turned out so good...she didn't want anyone to take it away from her.

I also made a card for my mother-in-law to give her. She is really starting to get into Dora so I created a Dora card from Everyday Paper Dolls. I also used the Create a Critter cart to make a monkey, somewhat like Boots the Monkey. It doesn't look exactly like Boots, but it was my versions...my daughter knew who it was and she LOVES Dora, so I did my job.

Thank for looking! Hope you enjoy!

So Glad You're Home!

Recently, my grandmother had to have knee surgery and from a fall afterwards ankle surgery. Afterwards she has to go to a nursing home to recover, since she had to have constant physical therapy.

Well, she got to come home on Friday and we all couldn't have been happier, especially her. As we all know it's always so good to be home. I wanted her to feel extra excited that she was home and to know that we were thinking about her, so I made her a "Welcome Home" banner and a card. The pictures are below.

Welcome Home Grandma! We are so glad that you are home and healing!

Blog Award!

I got one. I am so shocked. Judy from Judy's Cardmaking and Papercrafts gave me a Sunshine Award. I thought that was so nice of her! Thanks Judy for the thought, I appreciate it!

My New Scrap Room

So, my scrap room isn't all the way finished yet, but it's good enough to work in. Just need to put up the white beadboard that we are going to cover the drywall with. And there are a few more shelfs that need to go up, but other than that, it's a great space. I love it. Thanks to my wonderfull hubby for all his hard work! The space is in the basement and he did a great job of making it not feel like it is.

I love it...let me know what you think...follow me if you like my stuff, there will be way more coming out of this room soon.

Cricutters Anonymous Challenge #32: All in the Family

I created this project for the Cricutters Anonymous Challenge #32: All in the Family. My brother just had a little baby girl, well his girlfriend had her, and my mom needed a layout to put in her scrapbook I made her for Christmas. So, I decided what a great opportunity to create something for the Cricutters Anonymous Challenge. Anyway, here is my layout. Let me know what you think. Details about the layout are below.

The printed papers are this great new set that I got from Custom Crops, called Websters Pages, Your Life. Beautiful. The cardstock is various Bazill Basics paper. I used the New Arrival (for the announcement and "new arrival" circle), Ashlyn's Alphabet (name), and Create a Critter Cricut cartridges (cute Zebra!), as well as the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder on the name. I also used Martha Stewarts Scallop Dot punch on the green paper.

Hope that you like it. It was so fun to create!
