Going MIA for A While

I just wanted to let everyone know that you may not see me around the blogosphere for a while.

I have had some health issues that I have been dealing with and it is just starting to get to be too much. Hopefully I will have some answers these upcoming weeks, but until then I may not be posting alot.

I will still have my Cooking with Cricut DT posts on Wednesday's and I may throw in a post here and there of stuff that I have already done, but I have not had the energy to really create a whole lot right now.

Thanks to all my followers and I hope to be back up and running soon!

Sweet Shop Blog Hop - Day 2

If you missed my post from yesterday with all the Hop Info go HERE...and if you want to start at the beginning of the hop from yesterday go HERE (there are lots of great projects and goodies).

Welcome to the 2nd day of the Sweet Shop Blog Hop!!

You should have just come from Michelle at Purple Monkey Moments and if so you are in the right place. If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our fun hop, you can go to CookingWithCricut.com and start at the beginning HERE.

So, here is the project that I made for today. I used my YourStory Photo for this project.

The first thing that I did was cut a Cheerios box up into 5 - 5x7 pieces of cardstock using my Fiskars trimmer. It worked much better to cut them then I thought.

The next things that I did was cover each of the 5 pieces with Valentine's paper, front and back.

Next, I cut out a square at 4.25 x 4.25" from the Plantin cartridge and made it into a little pocket that I adhered to each of the pages on the right side. I then cut out tags at 2.78 x 4" for each of the pockets using the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More cartridge and hole punched them and tied a ribbon on them.

After I had the pockets and tags assembled I cut out a few of the images from the Sweethearts cartridge in black to accent the pages.

On each of the tags I plan on writing a little note to my husband for Valentine's Day (sorry folks, you don't get to see those).

On the left side of the booklet I am planning on putting some pictures of the two of us along with some pictures that my kids have drawn.

The cover I also made using the Sweethearts cartridge (Couple Standing @ 1.87 x 4", the Perfect Pair @ 3 x 3.39"), my NEW i-Rock to add some bling and my cuttlebug and hearts folder.

Hope that you enjoyed my project, now head over to Raven's blog, Love 4 Stamps, and see what she has in store for you! Remember before you go to leave a comment on my blog to win the fabulous prize that I am giving away tomorrow (comment on yesterday's post for an extra chance to win).

Here is the beautiful cutting file that Melin has given to me for a prize:

Cooking with Cricut DT Project

Good Morning! Hope that everyone's day started out fabulously (is that a word?).

This week for the Cooking with Cricut Design Team our challenge was to make something with hearts or flowers, something for our beloved! Now, strep is going around our house and so is a constant ear infection/cold/just plain crappy feeling, so it has taken all my energy just to roll out of bed and take care of my little ones that probably feel worse than I do. This never ending Winter doesn't help the mood.

Anyway, I wanted to show you that you can whip up a fabulous looking card without spending a million hours on it. This took me prep time of about 15 minutes and then another 15 putting it all together (probably wouldn't have taken as long if I felt better).

Recipe:
Hearts from Sweethearts Cartridge cut at 4.5"
DCWV La Creme Cardstock Stack
Michaels $1 Bin Ribbon

So, I hope that you enjoyed it and I hope that you come on over and join the fun at Cooking with Cricut, even if it's a quick project!

Mix It Up

If you hopped with me on Saturday then you saw my "Spring Fever" layout. If not, then you can go HERE to see it. Well, with all the bright pinky colors I thought that it would go perfectly in my daughter's scrapbook. However, I wanted to make sure that I had a similar one for my son's scrapbook also. So, I made the same layout, just switched it up a little bit. Hope you enjoy it!

Welcome to Croppin Momma Designs and the Think Spring Blog Hop! If you’ve never enjoyed a blog hop before, it’s where you ‘hop’ between blogs following a chain of links, with each blog in the chain posting something exciting for the event!

If you've come from visiting Toni at Happy Scrapper, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our fun hop, you can go to Kathryn at Creations with Kathryn and start at the beginning.

With so many of us getting bad weather and a ton of snow it is hard to imagine that Winter will ever be over. But, with Punxsutawney Phil seeing his shadow there is a sliver of hope that Spring will eventually come, and may even be earlier than we thought. However, if you just can’t wait another 6 weeks then I hope that I can bring a little of that Spring feeling to you now.

Thanks!

These are a really simple Thank You card that I made for everyone that attended my 30th surprise birthday party that my hubby and parents threw for me. So simple, just welded everything in my Gypsy and cut it out. Lovely!

When I Count My Blessings

My wonderful hubby recently gave me a suprise birthday party for my 30th and although it was his idea, because he works...and lives with me, it was my mom that did a lot of the work. It was at my parents house, she decorated the basement, entertained people while they waited, made dinner, and ultimately cleaned up too. So, I wanted to make her a special card to say thank you. Here is it...

 Recipe:
Cloud cut at 2.8" from Disney - Princesses Dreams Come True (3x, 1 with layer)
My Pink Stamper Sentiment
Martha Stewart Ribbon
DCWV Patterned Paper
Bazzill Basics Cardstock

ENJOY!

Beep Boop Beep Bop

So, on Saturday my son had his first big birthday party for his best friend at school. It was at a Bounce House place here in Michigan, so much fun!! A lot of his little buddies from school were going to be there and he was super excited!

When I asked his best friend what he wanted for his birthday he said that he wanted a Star Wars Lego set. So, since that is exactly what we got him I decided that I just had to make him a Star Wars card. Well, of course we all know that there is no Star Wars cartridge out....yet!?! So, I went to work and put together shapes and details from a couple of different cartridges. Here is how it turned out...

What do you think? Do you like it?

Well, if you said yes, than you're in luck, because I have the Gypsy cut file for you right...HERE. You need the Plantin Schoolbook and the Cricut Classic Font cartridges...if you don't have them then you can substitute for another cartridge with basic shapes, like George or Accent Essentials. Go on ahead and download it and see how you like it. Also, if there is anything else that you might want to see then please leave a comment or if you think that there is something that could have been done better or differently please let me know. I hope that you enjoy and if you create it I would love to see your version!
