Beep Boop Beep Bop

So, on Saturday my son had his first big birthday party for his best friend at school. It was at a Bounce House place here in Michigan, so much fun!! A lot of his little buddies from school were going to be there and he was super excited!

When I asked his best friend what he wanted for his birthday he said that he wanted a Star Wars Lego set. So, since that is exactly what we got him I decided that I just had to make him a Star Wars card. Well, of course we all know that there is no Star Wars cartridge out....yet!?! So, I went to work and put together shapes and details from a couple of different cartridges. Here is how it turned out...

What do you think? Do you like it?

Well, if you said yes, than you're in luck, because I have the Gypsy cut file for you right...HERE. You need the Plantin Schoolbook and the Cricut Classic Font cartridges...if you don't have them then you can substitute for another cartridge with basic shapes, like George or Accent Essentials. Go on ahead and download it and see how you like it. Also, if there is anything else that you might want to see then please leave a comment or if you think that there is something that could have been done better or differently please let me know. I hope that you enjoy and if you create it I would love to see your version!

Carrie please contact me at croppinmommadesigns at wowway dot com to claim your prize by Monday, January 31st at 12:00 pm EST, so that I can get your prize out ASAP. Thanks!

With that out of the way I am so sorry that I haven't had any new projects this week. I have had two sick kiddos and with the weather her being so cold and yucky it is really hard to make myself get up and do anything. So, anything that has gotten done is the bare minimum for the house. So, please be patient and I promise that I will have new stuff posted soon!

Projects to Come and Blog Hop Winner Update

So, I know that I've been gone the whole week, but I promise that it is for a good reason!

My 30th birthday was on Monday and my hubby and parents threw me a party on Saturday and then we went out with friends, on Monday my mom and grandma took me out to lunch and my hubby took me out to dinner, and then on Friday we went to see Harry Potter before it's not in the theaters anymore. So, in between all of that I have been trying to catch up on laundry and cleaning the house along with all my regular daily duties like taking the kids to and from school.

I am determined to get back in my scraproom today. I have started a couple of things throughout the week that I just need to get finished and pictures taken of. Also, I have a few other things on my list of To-Dos. So, I promise I will have things posted all next week for your looking enjoyment!

Thanks for sticking with me!

Also, on another note. I still have not heard from The Winner of the Be My Valentine Blog Hop. I am going to try and contact her today, but if I don't hear from her by tomorrow (Sunday) at midnight, then I am going to pick another winner. If you haven't checked to see if you won, please go HERE.

Princess Adorable

Good Morning! Today's challenge for Cooking with Cricut DT was to make a project with at least 3 flowers on it. Always, fun!

I picked out the patterned paper from the DCWV Premium Stack (if you haven't been following my blog for the last week or two, I am in love with this stack). The solid black is Recollections, the sparkly white is also DCWV, and the sparkly red is Bazzill.

The flowers were cute from the Cindy Loo cartridge, at 3.5" and 2.45".

The princess title is from the New Playtime cartridge at 3.5" (I think). I didn't get a knew expressions from Walmart, but I was lucky enough to win both the Playtime and Cricut Classic Font off Ebay. They were used, so no one was really bidding on them, but they were from a respectable seller and weren't linked to a Gypsy and I won them for $50 for the set!! Anyway, I got them and they were in perfect condition and I love them.

The tag was cut from the Sweethearts cartridge. I am not sure of the exact measurements, because I had to finagle it so that it would all fit, so it is not exactly how it originally was, it ended up odd measurements. The jewels are from the Joann's $1 Bin (Love this).

Lastly, I just had to show you all this photo. The photo on the layout is my daughter when she was around 9 months and then this is her yesterday. She was so excited that this was a picture of her when she was little that she wanted to take a picture with it. So cute!

Now, if you haven't been there yet hop on over to Cooking with Cricut and take a look at the other Design Team members creations and play along on this challenge with us!

Also, remember that I drew the winner of the My Valentine Blog Hop and you can see if you won HERE! I haven't heard from the winner yet!
