I Hate Scraps...

Happy 1/11/11!! I just think this is neat!

At least patterned ones. I always end up putting them in my scrap bin for later and rarely use them. They just pile up and I never remember what I have or what I might need. I'm sure that if I had a better system for them I might use them more, but I don't and I kind of like my system. So, I've decided that I will just try and use all the patterned paper at the time and not have to put any into my scraps bin.

So, that being said, this card is a little sneak peek at my Cooking with Cricut project for tomorrow. I used all the scraps from my project on this card.

All the patterned paper is from DCWV's "The ULTIMATE Premium Stack". It is awesome. I picked it up from Joann's for $11.99 and when I got it home I just fell in love. It is the one that is seperated by tabs into different categories. For example, these papers are from the "Winter" tab, but there are Christmas, Spring, Summer, Fall, Textures, etc. tabs. They are great. The best thing about it is that the papers in each tab go together perfectly. The buttons I'm not sure where I got, I've had them for a while. The sentiment, "Warmest Winter Wishes" is a My Pink Stamper stamp...love these!! The tag is from Once Upon a Princess (I think, sorry). I promise I will try and get better at making sure I know where things came from. Sometimes though I am just in the zone...I'm sure some of you can relate.

Well, this post has gotten extremely long and if any of you are like me, you have lost interested after the 1st sentence, so if you have gotten this far...I appreciate it! Make sure that you check in tomorrow for my Cooking with Cricut project!

funny how we all end up with mounds of scraps. I put my patterned scraps into gallon ziploc bags, according to company, that way all BG, or Bo Bunny or baby themed is together and so on, and have them in a large box on end of work space right in sight. I like to make inchies with smaller scraps. or just a big collage sheet on chipboard and use for die cutting. Cause I just dont like to throw away good paper..lol crafters.

Hey girl....I made it all the way through...it was as long winded as you think....lol! Let me just say, you did a TERRIFIC job with your scraps. But I totally get how annoying they can be. Especially for crafters like me who LOVE cards, but rarely make them. So I keep hanging on to scraps for "that card" that never seems to get done....lol! Again...Great job! Melin

Great use of scraps! They build up so fast!
